Privacy Policy

8 Ball Pro Online — Mars Studios
Effective date: June 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information the mobile game 8 Ball Pro Online (the “Game”, “we”, “us”) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By installing or playing the Game you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Account information

Playing offline (single player) requires no account. To play online multiplayer you sign in with one of the following, and we store only what is listed:

Sign-in methodWhat we receive and store
Google Sign-In Your Google account identifier, display name and email address, provided by Google with your consent. The email is used only to create a unique player account; we do not send marketing email.
Steam Your SteamID and public Steam persona (display) name, verified through Steam’s sign-in service. We never see your Steam password.
Username & password (legacy accounts) Your chosen username and a cryptographic hash of your password. We never store the password itself.

1.2 Gameplay information

1.3 Technical information

1.4 Advertising data (Google AdMob)

The Game shows ads through Google AdMob to players who do not have an active Pool Pass. AdMob may collect your device advertising ID, approximate location derived from IP, device information and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads, as described in Google’s Privacy Policy and AdMob’s data practices. Where required (for example in the EEA/UK), you will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can choose non-personalised ads. Players with an active Pool Pass see no ads and no ad requests are made for them.

2. How we use information

We do not sell your personal information.

3. What other players can see

Online multiplayer is a social game. Your username, country flag (if set), profile photo (if uploaded), game statistics, competitive rating, platform badge, leaderboard position and tournament results are visible to other players. Messages you send in lobby, in-game or spectator chat are visible to their recipients. Private messages are visible to the player you send them to.

4. Purchases

The Pool Pass can be purchased through Google Play (on Android) or Steam (on PC). Payments are processed entirely by those platforms — we never receive or store your payment card details. We store only the resulting entitlement (the type and expiry of your pass) on your player account.

5. Data sharing

We share data only with the service providers needed to run the Game:

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our players and our service.

6. Data retention and deletion

Account data is kept while your account is active. You can request the deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing us (see Section 10) from a way that lets us verify account ownership. We will delete the account within 30 days, except for minimal records we must keep for legitimate purposes (for example records of bans, fraud prevention or legal compliance). Moderation and security logs are retained for a limited period and then deleted.

7. Children

The Game is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your country). Online multiplayer includes chat with other players and the free version shows advertising. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

Game traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. Passwords (for legacy accounts) are stored only as cryptographic hashes. Sign-in credentials for Google and Steam are verified directly with those providers and are never stored by us.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Game evolves. Material changes will be announced in the Game or on this page, and the effective date above will be updated. Continued use of the Game after a change means you accept the updated policy.
